Copenhagen Were Clinical Where It Mattered

FC København were not spectacular. They did not need to be. They had 14 shots, 11 inside the box, and 10 accurate crosses compared to Brøndby's one. That crossing volume is telling. They were deliberate in how they built wide and got balls into the danger area. It paid off in the end. Thomas Delaney made way in the 62nd minute when Mads Emil Madsen came on, with the tactical change helping to manage the second half. When Cornelius arrived at 72 minutes alongside Junnosuke Suzuki, the intention was clear. Get the ball in the box and let him do what he does.

Robert picked up a yellow card for a foul at 59 minutes, and was himself replaced by Marvin Nasnas in the 86th minute. København managed the game professionally. They fouled when they needed to, absorbed Brøndby's physical pressure in the duels, and never looked like conceding. Their goalkeeper made two saves, the same number as Brøndby's.
