Far enough apart to tell you who the favourites are.

I'm not going to pretend I fully understand what 1.16 xG for and 2.19 xG against means for Hoffenheim at home other than to say the model reckons they are creating less than they are conceding in terms of quality. Dortmund fans will like that. Hoffenheim fans probably want to look away.

Jay's Take and the Big Call

Look at the fixtures and what do you see? A Dortmund side who finished second in the Bundesliga last season with 73 points, coming to a ground where Hoffenheim are dangerous but leaky. A home side who love to have the ball and attack, which suits Dortmund on the counter.

Hoffenheim finished fifth last season with 61 points. Twelve points behind Dortmund. That gap is real. But at home, in front of their own fans, with the ball at their feet and goals in their legs, they are never easy.

I'm going big on this. Dortmund to win but both teams to score. The vibes are there for a 2-1 or 3-2 kind of game. Lots of noise, lots of goals, probably some limbs in the away end. Hoffenheim will get one because they always seem to at home right now. Dortmund will have too much quality overall, especially if their attacking numbers away from home are anything to go by.
